Today was another beautiful adventure in the sunny weather of California! We started our day off right with some delicious bagels from Jack’s Bistro and a Starbucks coffee, of course! My favorite is the jalapeno cheddar bagel and nothing can beat a cinnamon dolce latte, yummy! Hey it’s our vacay why not?
It was the perfect day to stroll around at the Santa Barbara Zoo with our friends. It’s a small zoo but absolutely precious and has fun areas for kids to run around too.
After the kids had their nap, a babysitter watched them for the evening while we had a double date night out!
Our first stop was at the Pali Wine Company tasting room to enjoy wine tasting before our dinner reservations.
After that we took a short stroll from the tasting room to enjoy a lovely savory dinner at The Lark. This impressive full-service and trendy restaurant is located in the arts district of San Barbara (Funk Zone to the locals) where you can find small shops and galleries. We were delighted to enjoy many of the delicious dishes designed by the very talented Chef Jason Paluska! The brussels sprouts and pimento cheese are a few of my favorites! They use locally sourced seasonal ingredients that are responsibly grown and irresistibly fresh. Come with an empty belly because you will want to taste everything on the menu! Good thing the dishes come family style so that you can share your experience with your group.
With full happy bellies we headed back to end our night. So happy we had another opportunity to enjoy some fun with friends in this beautiful city.
