Nothing is better than smelling cinnamon surrounding the house from a fresh baked apple crisp dish in the oven! I was supposed to eat the apples I had on hand as part of a new diet but they ended up sitting around untouched for a couple of weeks (our vacay blew that diet attempt). I needed a tasty way to eat them, so they would not go to waste, so I found this delicious apple crisp recipe on Lauren’s Tastes Better From Scratch website. The dish turned out great even with old apples! The apples had a couple of bruises but still were firm.
It’s definitely a recipe that is pleasing to the tummy with thinly sliced baked apples in a cinnamon glaze and oatmeal crumb topping!
